Repertoire
Below you will find teacher-related projects I completed throughout
my college career that have helped build my repertoire.

CREATED CURRICULUM
With a team of 3 education peers, we created 1st grade reading curriculum for the local elementary school. We each completed curriculum for two stories in the unit. We completed a curriculum chart with standards, objectives, assessments, pre-assessments, and day by day instructions. We also completed a Network for Educator Effectiveness (NEE) form. The following buttons will show you collaborative work as well as my own work.
INTERNSHIP
During the fall 2015 semester, I completed my student-teaching internship at Heritage Primary School in the Wentzvillle School District. I planned and taught a class of twenty-four 2nd grader children. The last 3 weeks of the semester, I was hired as the long-term substitute teacher for my class because my mentor teacher underwent surgery. Throughout that experience I developed stronger classroom management skills, differentiation abilities, and learned ways to creativily and kinestheticly teach new concepts.
CO-TAUGHT SUMMER SCHOOL
During the summer 2015 semester, another education student and I co-taught summer school. We were placed at William Matthew Middle School in the Kirksville School District. We planned and taught 7th/8th grade students in the content areas of math, reading, and writing. Throughout this experienced I developed a better ability to collect and analyze data and learned how to work with students who are greatly influenced by their peers.

INTRODUCTION TO STUDENTS AND PARENTS (INTERNSHIP)
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was unable to begin my internship until a few days after the first day of school. Since I couldn't be in the classroom on the first day, I decided to make an introduction video for my mentor to show the children. After I arrived at school, I wrote and sent home an introduction letter to parents.
MATH CONTENT
Flipped Classroom: I created a flipped classroom lesson about factors and factor pairs. In the flipped
classroom model, students watch a video lesson at home and complete an assignment in class the next day.
Domain Strategies: For each standard in the CCSS Domain: Number & Operations - Fractions, I created a strategy for learning or solving that standard (total of 5 strategies).
Calendar Math: With a team, I helped create a Morning Math Calendar Wall. It consisted of several math activities that would be taught everyday.
SOCIAL STUDIES/SCIENCE CONTENT
WebQuest: I created a WedQuest titled "Immigration to American through Ellis Island 1840-1920" for 5th grade students. This online project is completed in groups of 3-4 students. Each group would be a family and must contain a mother, father, and child(ren). Group members chose their role and create a journal with 7 entries about the thoughts their fictional character likely had during that time period. This WebQuest project takes 8 days to complete.
FOSS: I created a lesson about carbon printing using Full Option Science System (FOSS) curriculum.
Energizers: I created a song for learning absolute and relative location and created a brain break song.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS CONTENT
Reading Assessments: I administered and analyzed a Miscue Analysis, Classroom Reading Inventory and Running for a fifth grade student.
Theme Weaver: I created lessons in writing, history, math, and art all centered around the book Magic Tree
House: Titanic Fact Tracker, which is a non-fiction text about the Titanic.
Notable Missourians Project: Online Teacher Resource Guide:
With a team, I helped create a teacher's guide for the Truman Press Notable Missourian series book about Stan Musial.
